Tagging Supplies

  • Hangers for clothing
  • Safety pins at least 1 inch in size OR tagging gun and fasteners for attaching tags to items
  • Clear packing tape for attaching tags to toys, books etc.
  • Large zip-top bags for packaging groups of toys together and containing small pieces that may go with larger items
  • White cardstock paper for tags (i.e., 6 tags per page)
  • Inkjet or laser printer for printing tags

Software System

After you have registered as a consignor, you can enter all your items into the system right here on our website, and you can print your tags at home on your inkjet printer!

DEADLINE: All inventory must be entered into the software system online and tags printed by _______________.  The software system will be disabled to the public after this time.

TO GET STARTED: Login to your account on the consignors page under "Account Login".  Once you have logged on you will have several options which include scheduling your drop-off appointment, choosing a volunteer shift, and working with your inventory.  Simply click on one of the options to navigate to the page you need.

Once you navigated to the page "Work with my inventory" you can enter in your items description and they will be automaticallly added to your inventory list.  After you have completed entering all your items simply print them right from this page on your home computer. **See all the policies below regarding printing tags**

RE-ACTIVATE items from previous sales!  You wont have to re-enter or re-tag these items that may not have sold.  Once you have logged into your account, click on "work with my consigned inventory", then go to "work with inactive inventory".  From this page you can select which items you would like to be in the current sale... its that simple!! ***If you do not re-activate these items they will not be allowed to be sold at the upcoming sale.  Please take the time to see if any of these items will be returing to Lilybugs!  If not then you can choose to delete all the items listed to get a fresh start for the current sale!

All tags MUST be printed on white cardstock only. Sorry, no handwritten tags or colored paper will be accepted.

On your tags you will have the option to:

  • Price your own items—we suggest 30-40% of retail.
  • Donate your unsold items to a local charity after the sale ends.
  • Choose to have your items sold at half price during our 1/2-off sale on Saturday.

Place all garments on hangers with the hook facing to the left (so it looks like a question mark). If you have a set, safety pin the set together before placing on the hanger to ensure they stay together. Keep those cute hats, booties, and pants with their partners!

ONLY seasonal items will be accepted.

A maximum of 300 items per consignor will be accepted.

Attach your tag to the top right of each garment with a 1-inch or larger safety pin OR you may use a tagging gun.

Two piece outfits must be hung with the shirt on the hanger as normal, then flip the hanger around and pin the pants or skirt to the back of the hanger (through the shirt as well).  This allows for both pieces to be seen easily and prevents pants/skirts from being lost.

All pants, skirts, and bottoms of any kind must be pinned to the hanger.

Clothing items with accessories (i.e., booties, hats, hair bows) may be pinned on the front of the matching item, preferably secured in a zip-top bag.

Tagging Examples

Toys and equipment must be securely tagged with packaging tape.

Items containing small parts must be placed in zip-top bags with tags taped to the outside, then with the bags taped to the larger items.

All battery operated toys MUST include working batteries.

Shoes will be limited to your 10 highest quality pairs. Tags must be taped with packing tape to the bottom of one of the shoes. All shoes must be pinned, zip tied, laced, or bagged together.

Small items (bibs, onesies, socks, etc.) should be placed in zip-top bags with the tags taped to the outside of the bags.

All baby gear and furniture must be assembled. WE CAN NOT ACCEPT ANY ITEMS MORE THAN 5 YEARS OLD. Small pieces must be placed in zip-top bags with tags taped to the outside, then with the bags attached to the large items.

We strongly suggest that books, movies, computer games, etc. be packed in zip-top bags with tags taped to the outside. Otherwise, books may become damaged as tape is pulled off at checkout.

All items will go through an inspection process during your scheduled drop-off appointment. Items tagged or prepared incorrectly will be returned to you. Please remember that ONLY children's items and maternity clothing are accepted.

Items Not Accepted

  • Car seats
  • Pant hangers for pants (may be used to hang shirts only)
  • Out-of-season clothing/items
  • Bottles, sippy cups, and similar items
  • Stuffed animals, including beanie babies
  • Movies, games, or electronics rated PG-13 or more 
  • Colored paper or cardstock for tags—use ONLY white cardstock
  • Scotch tape for securing tags on items—use ONLY clear packing tape
  • Sizes larger than children's—no adult or junior clothing/shoes  
  • Pants, skirts, or other bottoms folded over hangers—MUST be pinned at top of hanger
  • Hand-printed tags—all tags MUST be printed using our consignment software system (i.e., barcodes are needed at checkout)
  • Mark-over tags—once a tag has been printed it CANNOT be changed (i.e., for your own protection, crossed out/initialed changes will not be accepted; if you need to change a tag, you must use our consignment software system and reprint the tag)
  • WE DO NOT TAKE ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED, INCLUDING CHILDREN'S FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT THAT IS MORE THAN 5 YEARS OLD—please visit http://www.cpsc.gov for a complete list of recalled children's items
